About Olen's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning LLC
In 2003, I was working at an upholstery company that specialized in furniture restoration. One morning when I came into work, we were informed by ownership that they have decided to finish up the work that was in place than shut the doors and go out of business. That evening, I was telling a friend of mine about my employer going out of business, and his reply was “I’ll get you a job where I work." which was with a large, nationally-known carpet cleaning franchise.
By 2007, I earned my certifications from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) in Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery & Fabric Cleaning, Journeyman Textile Cleaner, Water Damage Restoration, Odor Control, and Commercial Carpet Maintenance. During this time, I was attending college in the evening earning an Associate of Applied Science in Human Services and then a Bachelor of Science in Counseling.
In my last year of college, I had to complete practicum hours in the field of substance abuse counseling. I resigned from that nationally known carpet cleaning company. I continued to receive inquiries from people who wanted their carpets or upholstery cleaned so I purchased a commercial portable carpet cleaning machine and started doing jobs well-finishing school.
I finished my education and obtained a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDCIII) in the State of Ohio along with Internationally Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor from the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium. While working full-time as a counselor, the carpet cleaning calls continued.
In 2015, I had the opportunity to purchase a truck mount cleaning machine, found a used van, and established Olen's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning LLC. A few years later, we improved the quality of our equipment by purchasing a new, state-of-the-art truck mount from HydraMaster along with upgrading to a much newer van! I no longer work full time as a counselor, and instead, provide my customers with the best cleaning services at affordable prices and outstanding customer service!
Olen's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning LLC is a locally owned and operated, full-service, on-location service provider. As the owner, I am always in direct dealings with customers to ensure 100% satisfaction while I'm performing 90% of the on-location work myself! I take pride in fulfilling the customers cleaning needs guaranteeing all work. After all, if a customer is not happy, it is my name on the side of the van!
